How Does Generative AI Work

Generative AI is typically powered by machine learning models trained on large datasets. It uses two key steps:

1. Learning Patterns: The AI studies examples (like text, images, or sounds) to understand how they are structured.
   • Example: It might study thousands of photos of cats to learn what makes a “cat” image.
2. Generating Content: The AI uses what it has learned to create new, original content.
   • Example: Based on the cat images, it can generate a completely new picture of a cat that has never existed before.
